Sydney is a queer cinematographer from Ohio who is currently based in Los Angeles.

In 2026, she will graduate with an MFA in cinematography from the American Film Institute. Her previous education includes The Ohio State University (where she studied film), the AFI CIW Women’s Cinematography Intensive, and the ASC Masterclass.

She has been the director of photography for four feature films, including The Holiday Club, The Exorcism of St. Patrick, Wolves Against the World, and Dead Teenagers.

In addition, she has worked for six years as full time videographer and freelance director of photography in various shorts, music videos, documentaries, and commercials - such as the Debby Ryan/Josh Dunn Open Door episode by Architectural Digest.

In her free time, she loves running, fishing, and watching movies in theatres. She is self represented and available for work anywhere.
